...neither an ice cream or a cocktail drink as one might initially think, "floating island" was how the windtalkers from WWII referred to the Philippines, an archipelago strategically located in Southeast Asia...here I intend to think aloud and express my views, not only on people, places & events, but just about anything seen and heard from within and beyond my beloved "floating island", while attempting to find some significant human experiences out of them...

the incomparable amanpulo

it is just so incredibly breathtaking...

amanpulo is the mother of all havens methinks, a place taken from a dream, honestly...i felt something like this when i first went to boracay but the moment i've had my first and actual glimpse of amanpulo, just from the aerial view inside their 17-seater company-owned charter plane, man, bora becomes second-rate in all aspects...seeing the island upon the plane's approach literally could blow your mind - i was totally dumbfounded...

owned by the soriano's and managed by the aman resort chain, the island had been converted into this dream vacation facility, generally deemed as only for the local&foreign-rich&famous flock who have cash by the millions as their kind of spare change...it's just my luck that i've had the opportunity to visit this world-renowned resort and spend a week in the island with my lab, bibi - which, incidentally, we're trying to mate with the GM's lab, sulu (unfortunately, as of this writing, they haven't started, uhm, well, makin' sum lovin', just as yet)...hopefully, they'd "get it on" before we leave!

below are some photos which i'm sure will tickle your fancy...you may also follow this link of the
amanpulo website where you'll find yourself transported even more to this source of philippine pride...also worth looking into are the other aman resorts spread all over the world...
